Deer antlers are a great chew for dogs, providing calcium, iron and other minerals. Our deer antler dog chews are sourced in Australia and New Zealand, mostly from fallow and red deer.
Antlers are naturally shed each year at the end of the breeding season. As a natural product they vary greatly in shape, size and colour depending on the breed and age of the animal. The centre core of the antler is a dry, softer, honeycomb like material, and it is this material that holds beneficial elements for dogs.
Deer antler does not splinter or snap like bone material and is therefore safe for your dog to chew on.
This product is naturally dried, contains no preservative and will help to keep your dogs teeth clean and healthy.
None of Santa's reindeer or any other deer were harmed in the making of this product. Deer drop their antlers annually and grow new ones, so your dog is making good use of an environmentally sound product.
When your dog chews their antler down to a small piece, you may need to discard it safely if you think it is becoming a choking hazard (or gift it to a small dog).
