The Catmate Cat Litter Tray set contains a sieve litter tray with a base and a scoop to remove the poop.
Catmate litter is environmentally friendly made from waste plantation sawdust that might otherwise be burned or used as landfill.
Catmate litter will soak up 3-4 times its own weight in liquids and it contains no additives.
After use, Catmate litter can be composted or used as mulch in the garden. It's 100% organic so will break down completely.
It's a non-clumping litter, which we recommend. Clumping litter can cause digestive problems if accidentally swallowed.
Your bag of Catmate litter will last longer using this system and is environmentally friendly.
Directions for use:
- Place a generous handful of litter in the tray and place the sieve tray over this.
- Fill the sieve tray to the required depth. We recommend about 2.5cm deep.
- Remove solid waste and dispose of appropriately at least once a day, or more regularly if necessary.
- Shake the tray daily to allow the spent litter to fall into the base. Add fresh litter to the sieve tray every couple of days.
- When the solid base tray is full of sawdust, remove the base and dispose of the sawdust.
- The sawdust from the old base can be disposed of by mulching, binning, or flushing (no more than 3 scoops to be flushed - by council requirements). Clean the base thoroughly and let it dry before returning it under the sieve tray.
Bags of Catmate litter are available in 15kg bags.
